Mark Evans Farrier Services

Mark Evans DIP WCF is a Beds/Herts based, highly qualified and talented farrier who competes at farrier competitions throughout the UK at the highest level. We have been highly impressed with the work he has carried out at our yard both for standard and remedial farriery. In my experience he is by far the best farrier I have ever used, and always tailers the shoe to fit the particular horse, rather than rasping around the hoof to a standard shoe. He will also make shoes of varying types to fit our different residents, all of whom have very individual needs.

As many of our horses have very arthritic joints, it was very important for us to have a dedicated farrier who is prepared to take time to ensure the horses comfort is maintained at all times, even if it means Mark being in rather uncomfortable positions! This is shown in the bottom right picture with our resident grey pony 'Magic' who is in her 30's. She is virtually unable to bend her knees and hocks and Mark takes great care to ensure she is kept comfortable at all times, whilst continually providing the highest level of trimming requirements.
